im due in may with my second, and debating weth...

im due in may with my second, and debating wether to use a dummy or not. my first had a dummy since he was a few days old. and he didnt wake up on his own for 3 weeks, so not sure how he would of settled without it.....as he was always asleep. so my question is. does your child sleep with a dummy? do they self settle? (thats my main thing, i will not pet/rock or feed my baby to sleep) how many times do they wake at night? what for, food? dummy? pros/cons? overall would you use a dummy for future children for sleeping purposes?
